The 34th National Show - Melbourne 2006
The Blakngold show team thoroughly enjoyed
our first national show on the 10th, 11th and 12th of March.
On Friday morning Star Handler Extraordinaire Hayley
handled Checa (Blakngold
Lust) in the baby puppy bitch class - her third time handling in a show
and first time with a baby.
Checa was the 3rd youngest in the class at 4
months old, competing against much bigger and more developed puppies
however she did not let that overwhelm her. Like she was born to show, Checa gaited herself into 9th place and was graded
Very Promising by the SV judge, out of 34 pups exhibited.
Later in the afternoon, Indi (Kardin Oleanna) tried her
heart out in the Junior Bitch class, again handled by Hayley. After much running and lots of waiting - Indi was placed 23rd out of 46 bitches, and was
graded Very Good.
I am proud of Hayley and Indi in
achieving a very high level of fitness and working together as a great
team.
